Ericeira Tech Hub

Invest

Capital is welcome. The mission is not for sale.

Four things to fund, each with its own entity and its own terms. Investors are fairly rewarded. Control stays with the people who carry the mission.

Ownership

Three claims, permanently separated.

Most companies let control follow capital. Here the three are split, so money can be welcome without being able to redirect the mission.

The stewardship entity

The golden share

Veto only, no economics. It blocks a sale of the land, a takeover of the group, or any change to the purpose.

The active stewards

Voting shares

They cannot be inherited or sold for profit. They pass to whoever runs the Hub next.

Investors

Economic shares

Dividends, and on most tracks a capped return agreed up front. Real money, fairly rewarded. No control.

Built, not promised. The stewardship entity already exists, structured with AGPC Investments, our implementing partner. The precedents are the Purpose Foundation golden share, Patagonia's ownership trust and the FairShares Commons.

The group

Five entities, one lock at the centre.

Each part gets the ownership model that fits its own risk, capital and regulation.

  1. 01

    Land and buildings

    Property company

Leased to the Hub on a long ground lease. Never sold, and never pledged against operating risk.

  2. 02

    Coworking, café and events

    Operating company

The day to day business of the Hub.

  3. 03

    Incubator & Accelerator

    Operating company, pursuing IAPMEI certification

Runs the programme and takes small equity stakes. The quantum research and sound technology incubators sit here.

  4. 04

    Research institute

    Non-profit

Opens public research grants and gives researchers genuine independence.

  5. 05

    The fund

    Regulated vehicle

    Being raised

Carry is held through a separate general partner company. Fund investors never reach the land or the brand.

Portfolio companies keep their own cap tables. We offer them the same steward ownership templates as a service.

The raise

Four things to fund. Four different deals.

The real estate, what happens inside, a single incubator, and the event. Separate entities, separate instruments.

Built in instalments

Nothing is raised in one lump. Each tranche releases against a milestone, not a date, and no track can be drawn on to rescue another.

Talk to us about investing.

Every track starts with a conversation. We share the full terms, the numbers and the entity documents there.
